Vidor police have released the name of a 14-year old girl that died in a one vehicle accident
yesterday morning. Madalyn Gracie Griffin, of the Mauriceville area, was a passenger in a
pickup that crashed into a tree on Wexford Drive in Vidor. She was ejected from the pickup and
was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two occupants of the pickup, both 13-year old
females, were transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont with non-life threatening
injuries. Vidor police are investigating the fatality.
