An update on a Sunday afternoon’s shooting and kidnapping in Beaumont. A man was shot in
the abdomen in the 2400 block of Primose. A second man was kidnapped. It is believed the
kidnap victim may have been targeted because of his involvement in illegal activity. At this
time it appears the gunshot victim was not involved in the illegal activity. There are up to five
possible suspects. Two people were detained for questioning. No arrests have been made at
this time as the investigation continues.
