Hardin County Prepares For Flooding

[Kountze, Texas] -- From the Hardin County Office of Emergency Management, County Judge Wayne McDaniel and Emergency Management Coordinator Aaron Tupper wish to assure all residents that Officials throughout the County are prepared to respond as necessary to the high amounts of rain we could receive over the weekend according to recent forecasts.

Judge McDaniel said, “Hardin county and the counties north of us may receive several inches of rain over the weekend which could cause localized flooding and result in rising water levels of the Neches River, bayous and creeks, which are already above normal. We ask that all citizens, especially those in low-lying areas, continue to monitor current and future weather forecasts with us by following your local news media and reputable social media outlets, such as the Hardin County Emergency Management and National Weather Service - Lake Charles Facebook pages. If you come across a roadway that is covered with water, please do not drive through it - Turn around, don’t drown”
