Garth Brooks' 2014 comeback was a success following his short-lived retirement. After his 390-date “Comeback” tour, he launched his stadium tour. After finishing that tour with five sold-out nights at Dublin's Croke Park stadium in September, Garth's back with a Las Vegas residency next spring. “Still to this day, I’m floored that I got a second half of a career,” Brooks tells Billboard. Garth admits that his commitments to live shows have run him ragged. “I still don’t know how the hell we did it — there was one run that was 15 shows in 12 days.” Brooks says residencies allow him to “lock in with people” “If you’re sitting there going, ‘Why am I straying so much in my head right now?’ Boom! You’ll find that person that this is their favorite song. And then it becomes your favorite song to sing in that moment.” When will you retire? What do you hope to do during your retirement?
