LOCAL: What A SAD Day For Southeast Texas!

Growing up in Southeast Texas, this little family owned market was known for THE PLACE to get boudin, freshly made daily in their in-store Meat Market and built a reputation that made them "famous" across Southeast Texas and beyond!

Nick and Dorothy Nicotre opened Nick’s Grocery in 1959 on 39th Street in Port Arthur. The Nicotres’ children and their spouses continued to operate Nick’s as a grocery with a full-service meat market....until today :( I am broken hearted...WHERE will I get my boudin now???????

And OBVIOUSLY I am NOT the only one saddened by the news...
