Parents Confront Woman Who "Digitally Kidnapped" Their Twins

It's a frightening and growing trend happening on Social Media and something parents need to be aware of. Complete strangers stealing images of other people's children and posting them as their own. Doesn't sound like that big of a deal?? Well, it's not illegal but it IS disturbing that someone would pretend to be the parent of someone else's child or children and in some cases it has taken a darker turn, using the stolen images for a much sicker purpose. I am guilty of constantly posting pictures of our son without giving it a second thought because I have a private profile but that doesn't matter. So how do you avoid this happening to you? A story about a "digital kidnapping" (also known as Cyber-Hijacking)was brought to our attention last year when a woman who stole images of a couple's twin girls, posing as the single mom of the girls who's names she changed, documenting health issues the girls didn't have on Facebook and a personal blog.
