Country Superstar Alan Jackson Turns 59 today and in celebration of that I am listening to and sharing my favorite AJ songs from over the years but since there are TOO MANY favorites I have narrowed it down to 5 and that was TUFF!!!

 Happy Birthday Alan!!!

MY ABSOLUTE Favorite is Alan's cover of Hank Williams Jr's "Blues Man" which AJ included on his album "Under The Influence" from 1999.

Coming in a very CLOSE second is Alan's haunting hit from 1992  "Midnight In Montgomery" that ironically is referring to an encounter with the ghost of Hank Williams (Jr's Daddy)

Next, "Like Red On A Rose" and although it was not a major hit for Alan (it only reached #15 on the Billboard Country Charts in 2006) there was something about this dark melodic tune that had me hooked from the first note! From the album by the same title that was produced by fellow musician Alison Krauss (maybe THAT is why I love it so much because I am a BIG fan of Alison)

The song that was "a memorable romantic declaration" became one of my ALL TIME Favorites and peaked at #3 on the Country Singles Chart in 1998 "I'll Go On Loving You"

And finally rounding out my AJ Favorites is a hit that the Superstar wrote and released in 2004 that went all the way to #1 and became a go to for wedding's, anniversary's, milestone birthday's etc etc "Remember When"
