The legend stopped by the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt University earlier this week greeting children, lifting spirits, AND giving a "special gift". Dolly Parton wanted to give back to the hospital that made a huge impact in her own life. Her niece was once a patient there treated for leukemia. After all the staff did for her family, Dolly pledged $1 million to the Children’s Hospital. WOW
This shouldn't be a surprise knowing how generous the 71 year old music icon is...She just released her 1st Children's Album "I Believe In You" with proceeds will going to Imagination Library, Parton's nonprofit organization that gives free books to children. Not ONLY that, recently Dolly donated money and books to 2017 Hurricane Victims.
