In 1997 Lee Ann Womack made her debut with the single "Never Again, Again" and from the time I heard that song, I was a fan! The Jacksonville, Texas native had been a mainstay on the Country Charts for 12 years but her breakout came in 2000! It was the single that would become her "signature" song, "I Hope You Dance", featuring Sons Of The Desert. It became a crossover hit and a song of inspiration still to this day. Sadly, that would be the peak of Lee Ann's success but I have always admired the singer and her amazing talent which hasn't been given deserved recognition but that's the "business" I guess. She took a "hiatus" for a few years but to my excitement and delight, Lee Ann has released a new album, actually she released it in October of 2017, Speaking of the album Womack said ""I wanted to get out of Nashville, and tap the deep music and vibe of East Texas. I wanted to make sure this record had a lot of soul in it, because real country music has soul. I wanted to remind people of that." So if you like your Country COUNTRY then check out the Album "The Lonely, the Lonesome, and the Gone" and check out the video below for the first single "All The Trouble"
Welcome back Lee Ann! Country Music has missed you!!! ~Tammy Daye
