Union Workers Decline Offer

Union workers, locked of the Beaumont ExxonMobil refinery since May 1st, will remain

locked out following yesterday’s vote. More than 50% of the union voters rejected the latest

offer. 650 union workers were locked out when their contract expired on April 30th. That number

has dropped as some union workers found work elsewhere. Around 100 members did not take

part in yesterday’s vote. 50% needed to vote in favor of this offer.
