Carrie Underwood is often known for her dedication to health and fitness (in addition to her award-winning music, of course), but she still makes room for the occasional treat to satisfy her sweet tooth.

Underwood — who just kicked off the second leg of her high-energy “Denim & Rhinestones Tour” with Jimmie Allen in support of her latest album — said chocolate is one of the best Valentine’s Day gifts couples usually exchange on the upcoming holiday. She said in a statement, per her record label:

“Chocolate’s every woman’s friend – in their time of need or in their time of happiness or in their time of sadness or madness, chocolate is my friend. Anything with caramel in it... White chocolate’s good too. You can’t beat some good white chocolate.”

The “Hate My Heart” superstar recently shared that her motivation to work out has changed over time. Underwood said in a recent interview that in the early days of her career, she “was working out more to be a certain size or fit into a certain aesthetic that I thought I wanted to be. And now I feel like I work out more to be strong and to have energy and longevity.” Underwood also said she exercises to keep up with her two young sons, ages 7 and 3 (Isaiah and Jacob, respectively, whom she shares with husband Mike Fisher).

Underwood recently shared a typical day of her life on tour, sharing glimpses of her day on her Instagram story before performing in Atlanta, Georgia. One of those steps included a good workout with her longtime trainer, Eve Overland. Underwood also shared the healthy meals she eats throughout the day, and capped off the evening with a glass of red wine after the performance.
