Luke Combs and his wife, Nicole Combs, announced that their second child is set to arrive later this year. The proud parents shared the heartwarming news on their social media channels on Monday evening (March 20), showing firstborn son, Tex Lawrence, wearing a “big brother” shirt.
The baby news, which came with a teaser for Luke’s soon-to-release “Take You with Me,” reads: “Joining the 2 under 2 club! Baby boy #2 coming this September!!”
Now that “the cats outta the bag,” Nicole fielded a few questions from her Instagram followers on Tuesday afternoon (March 21), promising to answer more later, after Tex awake from a nap.
One Instagram user asked whether Nicole is worried with her husband’s headlining world tour coming up this year. Luke is gearing up to travel the globe in support of his highly-anticipated 18-track album, Gettin’ Old, a follow-up to 2022’s Growin’ Up (that project released less than one week after Tex made his arrival in June). The country music powerhouse announced the dates of his world tour in September, revealing that he would perform dozens of shows in three continents — with stops in 16 countries — kicking off this weekend and spanning to October.
Nicole replied on her Instagram story on Tuesday, “not going to lie, yeah,” when asked whether she was nervous about her husband’s world tour. She explained it’s mostly because “I’m due between Australia & Europe…cutting it kinda close.”
Nicole said her two sons will be about 15 months apart in age. Though it might sound “cliche,” she and Luke “truly did not care (whether they were expecting a boy or girl) as long as baby was happy & healthy. I thought it was a girl for so long & then one day I woke up and was 100% positive it was a boy. Same thing with Tex, so crazy!” She said baby boy names are “tough,” however, so there are no names picked out yet for Baby No. 2.
