Heading into the Memorial Day weekend gas prices are slightly up from last week. The average price in
the Beaumont/Port Arthur area is up a penny to $3.04 a gallon. Last year heading into the Memorial Day
weekend we were paying $4.25 a gallon. The statewide average is up five cents to $3.13 and the
national average jumped four cents to $3.57. These averages are from Triple A Texas.
