In Newton County, a deputy shot and killed a suspect Friday. Sheriff Colton Havard says the deputy went to a home off of FM 2626 on a domestic call. The suspect, who also had a felony warrant, was hiding in a pickup tool box. As the deputy approached, the suspect popped up aiming a gun towards the deputy. The deputy shot the suspect who died at the scene. The deputy was not hurt.
