Tropical Storm Edouard made landfall today near Johnson Bayou, Louisiana. According to the National Hurricane Center the maximum sustained winds were about 60 mph as it moved on shore. Greg Bostwick says there was a wind gust of 90 mph in Port Arthur. Entergy is reporting about 70 thousand customers without power as of 7 this evening with the majority being in Jefferson County. Also, this afternoon as the storm was making landfall a camper overturned on the Port Arthur side of the Rainbow Bridge stalling traffic as crews worked to clear the wreck.
