Chase Rice Talking God

Think beer and God don't go together? Think again.

Chase Rice is a God-fearing man and recently teamed up with Florida Georgia Line to release a new single, "Drinking Beer. Talking God. Amen." Chase says that this song is a candid representation of who he is as a person and an artist.

In a recent interview with Cody Alan, Chase shut down the haters who question him on his decision to make ties between alcoholic spirits and holy spirits.

"Go read the bible. It does!" teases Chase.

"The truth of it all is, people have asked me, "Why do you put God in your music so much?" Well, first all, you've never had a real conversation with me. So, once you get to know me as a person, it very much is," reveals Chase.

"The reason God is so close in my life is cause I am so screwed up in so many ways," says the "Eyes On You" singer. "I have been lost in so many ways in my life, and from what I have found…God is the only thing that really brings you out of that."

"He puts people in your life who can help you with whatever you are going through, or just be happy in the moments when life is awesome," says Chase, who became friends and roommates with Florida Georgia Line early on in their careers.

"I have been very grateful for everything that I have been given, and it ain't for me, it's from the people that have been in my life, and God is at the top of that," says Chase.
