Comments made by Jason Aldean's wife, Brittany, on an Instagram reel have caused a bit of division in the country music community. Brittany, a social media influencer, posted a before-and-after make-up reel on Instagram and a caption thanking her parents for not "changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase." A number of country artists or their spouses commented on Brittany's glamorous look, while Jason commented on the post, "L-M-A-O, I'm glad, too 'cause you and I wouldn't have worked out." However, the post was received differently by Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris. Maren wrote, “It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.”
