Amy Nicknamed “Final Cut Amy” After Video Approval Request

Bobby heard Amy had been requesting final approval on social media videos before they were posted for The Bobby Bones Show.

Amy explained that the situation stemmed from a segment where she revealed that she and her boyfriend had broken up. She felt uncomfortable with that content being shared on social media, explaining that while it was one thing to discuss it on the radio, it felt different knowing his children and others connected to him could see it on platforms like Instagram. Amy expressed uncertainty about the clip being posted. Amy shared that Morgan encouraged her by saying the segment came across well on air. Eddie edited the clip and sent it to her for review. After watching it, Amy approved it but requested that a lighter, funny moment be added back in to balance the tone. She said Eddie agreed to make that adjustment.

Bobby asked if there were other clips Amy was concerned about. Amy said there was another segment involving a celebrity messaging her on Instagram. She felt uneasy about that being posted on Instagram specifically, since that was the platform where the interaction occurred, and she worried it could appear in his feed while she had not responded to him. Amy explained that while she was comfortable with the content existing on YouTube or the podcast, Instagram felt more personal and direct. She asked for that content not to be posted on Instagram. Eddie admitted he was the source of that information and he found the request unusual. Amy pushed back, saying that in all the years working together, she had never made such a request and that this situation was different because it involved sensitive, personal topics and other people. Amy also suggested that Eddie’s comments may have been influenced by a previous situation where she called him out for leaving a mess in their studio bathroom. Eddie denied any connection, while Bobby continued to question the need for approval if the content had already been shared publicly on the show.

Amy emphasized that her concern was about being considerate of others involved, not about avoiding accountability. Bobby contrasted that with his own approach, saying he was comfortable with anything he said being shared publicly. The discussion turned back to the celebrity DMing segment, with Bobby suggesting it could be posted with the name censored to drive engagement. Amy expressed concern that even with censoring, people might still identify him in the comments. She reiterated that her request for review was situational and not a new standard. Bobby jokingly labeled her “Final Cut Amy,” suggesting she now wanted approval over all content, while Amy acknowledged the nickname but maintained that it was a one-time situation tied to a sensitive day of personal disclosures.
